2 cup milk [Dairy]
3/4 cup sugar [Dry Goods / Spices]
1 tsp salt [Dry Goods / Spices]
1 1/2 tsp ground cardimon [Dry Goods / Spices]
2 eggs (room temp) [Misc.]
1 pkg dry yeast [Dry Goods / Spices]
1 stick of oleo (melted) [Dairy]
6 cups flour [Dry Goods / Spices]
Recipe Directions:
scald milk (heat til a skin forms on top) cool. Pour over sugar, salt, cardimon. When luke warm (like baby bathwater) add yeast and eggs. Beat til the cows come home! Add 1/2 of the flour(3c.) and one stick melted oleo, cooled. Add rest of flour cup by cup to make 5c. Add 6th cup if necessary. Rest dough 15 min. (you rest too). Then knead for 10 min. Let rise for 45 min. to 1 hr. Make into rolls, braids, cin. bread. Let rise Bake braids 30 min. rolls 20-25 min @350 deg brush melted oleo on braids after removing from oven. Sprinkle with sugar
